100 Rabbits Presentation

The artist collective 100 Rabbits gave a fascinating and well attended presentation in the UVic Libraries Digital Scholarship Commons on March 6th. Sponsored by the Historic Computing Lab and the Kula: Library Futures Academy, the talk charted a course through the challenges of living on a sailboat, through how electrical and networking constraints led to a break with conventional, resource-hungry consumer-facing computer technologies, and the alternatives the collective developed to replace them.
